西部印象（30）：锡达-布雷克斯国家保护区(Cedar Breaks)

从黄石公园回加州的途中，在犹他州停留两晚。犹他州众多的世界级国家公园中，大部分都去过，只有这个锡达-布雷克斯国家保护区似乎还是个漏网之鱼。锡达-布雷克斯国家保护区（Cedar Breaks National Monument ）位于犹他州锡达城，是一个天然的圆形竞技场形的峡谷，绵延3英里（4.6公里），深度超过2000英尺（610米）。峡谷的边缘处于海拔10000英尺（3000米）（来自维机）。

峡谷的侵蚀岩石地层类似布莱斯峡谷国家公园，但是有自己独特的外观，多彩的风蚀的石柱和拱门非常壮观。由于海拔较高，10月到次年的5月，大雪往往使车辆无法进入。峡谷游客中心只在6月到10月开放。

Yet the park isn’t anywhere near as well-known as Bryce Canyon or Zion. If Cedar Breaks were located anywhere but southern Utah, it would be thought of as one of the great natural wonders of the world. Here it's overshadowed by Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon.
