一战后的温网最先成为法国人苏珊尼·伦格朗的天下。1919~1925年共 7 年间，她获得 6 届冠军。
1922年温布顿修建了可容纳 1.5 万观众的中央球场，这是为迎合苏珊·伦格朗巨大的人气而修建的。
也是从这一年开始，温网废除了“挑战赛”，要取得冠军，女子必须连胜 6 场比赛。
