Many students find the e
xperience of attending university lectures to be a confusing and
frustrating experience. The lecturer speaks for one or two hours,
perhaps
1.illustrating the talk with slides, writing up
important information on the blackboard,
2.distributing
reading material and giving out
3.assignments. the new
student sees the other students continuosly writing on note books
and
4.wonders what to write. Very often the student leaves
the lecture
5.with notes which do not catch the main points

to understand.
Most institutions provide courses which

students to develop the skills they need to be

listeners and not-talkers.

are many useful study-skills guides which

actually starting your studies.
It is important to

difficulty in acquiring the language skills

college study. One way of

is to attend the language and study skills classes which most

20.with whom it is possible to identify difficulties,
exchange ideas and provide support.

很多大学会开设能够帮助学生培养听力和速记技巧的课程。即使没有这种课程，也会有许多学习指导技术能够让学生独立练习这些技巧。无论什么时候，在你开始学习之前先解决这些问题是很重要的。
在大学学习需要一点语言技巧，而许多学生在学习这种技巧的时候都很空难，能认识到这一点很重要。克服这些困难的一个方法是去上一些很多大学在学习期间开设的关于语言学习技巧的课程。另一个基本策略是找一个能够找出你的错误的，并且能够和你交换意见或者提供帮助的搭档。
