The bosses of companies listed on China’s domestic stock markets often blush when reading research reports on their own companies. They privately admit they are not nearly as good as portrayed by those reports.
When some analysts named Eastern Communications a key player of the 5G revolution, management felt compelled to clarify that they “do not possess such technologies”.
“Shut up! You do”, shouted some minority shareholders.
Why allow the fact to stand in the way of a good story?
