英语课中，Jason老师经常会拿出一些图片给大家描述，口语课上、写作课上都会有这样的环节。图片可以引发大家思考，发挥想象力，是口语课和写作课上必备的工具。可是如何描述一张图片呢？很多同学说了一堆，信息是片面的也是凌乱的。今天Jason老师带大家一起描述一张图片。学英语如何描述一张图片

你会如何描述这张图片呢？
想象下你想说什么，如果对方看不见这张图，你准备从哪里开始描述？如何让对方的脑海里浮现出同样的画面？
描述一张图片
第一步：你想要表达什么？不确定？没关系，利用
Who … ? Where … ? What … ? When … ? Why … ? Which … ? How … ?来设定几个问题
这些问题的答案会提供给你思路

Question

Answer
Who are the people in the picture?	… a girl / a waiter
Where are they?	… outside dining /in a restaurant/ Beijing, China
What are they doing?	… She is sitting at a table. She is smiling. The waiter is clearing dishes.
When was the picture taken?	… on a warm day , April (she is wearing summer clothes)
Why …is she in this restaurant?	… on holiday.

How …would you describe the girl/the waiter?would you describe the setting (location)?	… She: beautiful/stunning, gorgeous, young, relaxed, in her 20’s… He: smartly-dressed… lovely, delightful, pleasant, quaint, charming

这些问题中有一些很重要，他们可以帮助我们确定足够的信息。
第二步：写出一些句子
The picture is of a stunning girl in her twenties and a smartly-dressed waiter.
They are in a delightful restaurant.
The restaurant is in Beijing, China.
She is smiling at the camera.
He is clearing dishes.
It is a warm day. She is on holiday.
第三步：做些改进。把图片中的信息和句子连接起来。如果所有的句子都是简单句，行文就像小孩子一样，但是不是一定要把所有的句子都连接起来。有时，简单句更直接，更完美。你需要让读者理解你的句子。你的行文应该是简单句和复杂句并存的。你可以使用并列连词和（或者）从属连词来把句子连接起来。至少有一种连接方式吧？大家可以参考之前Jason老师的文章《学英语如何写好一个句子》

It’s a warm Spring day and she is on holiday.
While a smartly-dressed waiter clears the table, she smiles sweetly at the camera.
或者:
In the picture, a gorgeous girl in her twenties is dining in a quaint restaurant in Beijing, China.
这是一个简单句，只有一个主语和一个动词。
She is on holiday, it’s a warm day in April, and she is smiling happily at the camera while a smartly-dressed waiter clears the table.
第四步：形成段落
