一、情景会话
A：What is the date
?（今天是几号?）
B：It is May the eleventh.
（今天是5月11日。）
A：What is the day of
the week?（今天是星期几?）
B：It is Tuesday.（今天是星期二。）
A：What day was it
yesteray?（昨天是星期几?）
B：It was Monday
yesterday.（昨天是星期一。）
A：What day will
tomorrow
be?（明天是星期几?）
B：Tomorrow

Wednesday.（明天是星期三。）

一周这七天可以有缩写形式，分别是：

三、询问日期的说法
询问今天是几号，可以是：

回答可以是：It is July the first.
一年的十二月可以有缩写形式，分别是：
January/Jan
一月
February/Feb
二月
March/Mar
三月
April/Apr
四月
May/无缩写
五月
June/无缩写
六月
July/无缩写
七月
August/Aug
八月
Septenber/Sept
九月
October/Oct
十月
November/Nov
十一月
December/Dec 十二月
五月、六月和七月，词较短，无须缩写。而一年的四季即没有缩写形式，也不大写第一个字母。
