教材分析
本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级下册教材第5单元,话题为家庭生活。本课是本单元第一课,重点是谈论童年回忆,为后面的听力和写作做铺垫。
本课的内容是一封女儿给妈妈的信件,教学设计分为两课时。第一课时侧重文章的理解,首先通过头脑风暴激活学生已有的知识:谈论你难以忘怀的事件。随后通过阅读,获取女儿写信的原因;以及女儿对母亲儿时的回忆:母亲和她一起做过什么;母亲对她说过什么。最后结合自己的实际并结合本课的信息进行语言输出活动:谈论自己的母亲对自己影响,以及对母亲的回忆,并表达自己的态度。另外本课中还会渗透间接引语的相关知识,使学生对间接引语有初步的了解。

教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1. 通过阅读刘菲的信件,获取刘菲给母亲写信的原因,以及儿时对母亲所做所言的回忆的相关信息;
2. 运用have a great influence, encourage, she said/ mentioned that...等表达方式,谈论对自
己最有影响的人物的有关回忆,并表达自己的想法;
3. 回忆童年时母亲的所作所言并体会时不我待的内涵,珍惜现有的时光学会回馈他人。

· Ss read the letter again: (Second Reading)
Find out the reason why she wrote this letter.
Ø When did she wrote the letter?
Ø Why did she do this?
· Ss understand the meaning of the line:.
You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s
gone.
Find out the detailed information about her
childhood memories.
· Ss complete the table about Liu Fei’s
memories with the help of T’s demonstration.

· Ss read the letter for the third time: (Third
Reading)
Ø How was her childhood?
Ø Did mum’s words have a great influence on her?
Ø Did your mum do the same things/ say the same words?
· Ss try to understand the meaning of a
successful life.
通过阅读回答问题,了解信件相关人物。





再读文章,获取刘菲写信的原因和对母亲儿时记忆的相关信息。














通过第三遍阅读体会妈妈的所做所言对于刘菲的影响,并体会成功人生的内涵。
