【雅思口语秘籍】教你如何describe people！

雅思口语考试中有很多话题是跟人物有关的，例如《墨尔本无忧雅思口语机经》话题库中的：
V51132022：A Person U'd Like to Spend Time With
V51132023：A Famous Person
V51132024：An Interesting Person
V51142003：An Old Person You Enjoy Talking To
V51142011：An Intelligent Person
V51142012：A Comic Actor
等等等等。
那么在口语考试中遇到这类题目时，有哪些可以用到的句型和词汇呢？
Part 1类型问题
1
Examiner:
How would you describe
yourself?
Candidate:
Everyone tells me I
takeafter my mum as I’m
quite
laid-back …
I think I’m
goodcompany
but you should ask my friends if they agree …
解析:
takeafter：与…相像，一般用于描述亲人之间的相像。简单来说就是“你简直是遗传了谁谁谁”。
Laid-back
：懒散的，悠闲地，闲散的。有些烤鸭在口语考试里想表达自己比较“懒散”，就直接说自己是个Lazy
person，这可是贬义的，何必自己骂自己呢……
Goodcompany 好的陪伴者，意思就是朋友都愿意和他/她待在一起。】

Examiner: In which ways are you similar to your
friends?
Candidate: I seem to be attracted
tointroverts …
Imean, not people who are
painfullyshy but most of
my friends are a little reserved… and I think
that’s what I’m like …
解析:
introvertn. 内向的人
I mean 用于对自己的话加以解释，是个可以加分的用法哦~
painfully shy
害羞到恼人的程度，也就是十分害羞的意思。Painfully可以用来表示非常、恼人地。
reserved 形容人时表示有所保留的，冷淡的，缄默的。

Examiner:Are you similar or different to your
brother(s)/sister(s)?
Candidate: I think my brother and I are very similar
… I’d say we’re
fun-loving and
tend to be a bit extroverted … my
brother is certainly the life and soul of the
party… I’m not sure that applies to me …
解析:
fun-loving
喜爱娱乐的，热爱乐趣的。形容你有一个“爱玩”的朋友，就可以用上啦！
extroverted
和上文提到的introverted相反，这个词就是“外向的，喜爱社交的”。
the life and soul of the party
热爱派对的灵魂，形容一个人喜爱什么东西爱到了骨子里，就可以用这个搭配啦！
例如“吃货=the life and soul of the food, etc. ”
Part 2 类型问题
Part 2的Cue Card的题目多种多样，换一个词就是一道新题，所以，在这里就不多做赘述，给大家大致总结一些Part
2能用到的各类表达！
getting bored with 对…厌倦
unlike 不像…一样。可以用于突出人物的特质
lost her temper 发脾气。
easy-going 随和的，平易近人的。
broad-minded 心胸开阔的，思想开放的。
sense of humor 有幽默感的。
bend over backwards 拼命的，竭尽全力的。可不是弯腰的意思哦！
put sth. first 优先考虑…；把…放在首位。
highly respected 受人尊敬的。
hid her light under a bushel
不露锋芒，深藏不露。很多烤鸭想表达这个含义都不知道怎么说，快学习一下咯！
Self-effacing 谦让的，谦逊的，不出风头的。
Part 3 类型的问题

Examiner:Which personal qualities do you think we most
want to pass on to our children?
Candidate:
I certainly would want my children to
beself-confident and
self-assured … I really believe that
people who feel good about themselves are in a good position to
face what life has to offer them … and I’d hope they wouldn’t be
self-centred… but remembered to think about

解析：
self-confident 自信的。
self-assured 自信的，胸有成竹的，自我肯定的。
self-centred 自我中心的，自私自利的。很多烤鸭只会说some people only
think about themselves. 或者selfish，学了这个词汇就可以替换使用啦~！

Examiner:Which characteristics do you think are
the least appealing in a person?
Candidate: Well … people who are
verynarrow-minded are difficult toget on
with … it’s nice when someone is open to other
people’s opinion and willing to think about their own views … and
people who aretwo-facedcan be a
littleirritating… relationships are
builtontrust
and without honesty there’s not much left …
解析：
narrow-minded 心胸狭隘的，狭隘的。也就是说这个人有点“小心眼”。
get on with与…友好相处，相当于get along with…
two-faced 两面三刀的，也就是说这个人当面一套背地里一套。
built on 建立在信任的基础上。
irritating 刺激的，气人的，让人愤怒的。

Examiner:Which personality types do you think are less
likely to suffer from stress or anxiety?
Candidate: Probably people who are
thick-skinned … who don’t let people or
problems affect them too much … and if you
arefair-minded you’ll be less likely to
overreact to situations or bequick-tempered
…
解析：
thick-skinned 就是字面的意思：厚脸皮的。
fair-minded 公正的，公平的。
quick-tempered 易怒的，性急的，脾气急躁的。
