为了纪念第一张录音室专辑《The Wall》发行20周年，哥伦比亚唱片公司2000年发行这张专辑。这是平克·弗洛伊德乐队具有开创性的巡回演出的传奇现场录音。


20年前平克·弗洛伊德发行了他们的经典概念专辑《The Wall》。该专辑气势宏大、寓意深刻、音乐玄妙，在商业和艺术上取得了双重的成功。奇怪的是，擅长现场演出的平克·弗洛伊德对这部经典之作的原版现场演绎只有区区三次：两次在美国(东海岸纽约州的Nassau Coliseum，西海岸加州的洛杉矶) 另一次在英国伦敦的Earl's Court。2000年4月18日发行的这套双CD专辑正是选自伦敦演唱会，因而显得格外珍贵。另外，在这套专辑中还收录了两首仅在《The Wall》电影中出现过的作品《What Shall We Do Now？》和《The Last Few Bricks》，整个专辑从演绎到录音都继承了乐队一贯的高水准，因而价值不凡值得收藏。
