这是作为英国摇滚乐队The Beatles的第12张也是最后一张录音室专辑，在1970年5月8日发行。该专辑在《滚石》杂志2003年发布的五百大专辑排行榜中排行第86位。《Let It Be》大部分在上一张专辑《Abbey Road》发表前的1969年1月录制，但披头士对该专辑感到不满意，并因此搁置发表，直至1970年由Phil Spector重新制作。
伟大的披头士乐队已经很长时间没有新专辑问世了，虽然乐队已经解散了40多年的时间，但是披头士乐队的音乐却依然在世界上广为流传，虽然没有新专辑发行，但是乐队的每一张精选集都能够吸引无数歌迷的目光，乐队的前一张冠军单曲精选集《The Beatles 1》曾经在2000年的时候以单周将近60万张的销量成为了Billboard 200排行榜的冠军，而这张专辑则是披头士乐队解散以来真正的一张完整的录音室专辑，在发行短短一周之后就售出了28万张，轻松的成为了Billboard 200排行榜的第5名。
这张专辑之所以被称之为是完整的录音室专辑原因就是他完全取自披头士乐队发行的最后一张专辑《Let It Be》，当初，这张早在1969年就已经录制完成的专辑因为乐队成员约翰·列侬和保罗·麦卡特尼以及乐队当时的经理克莱恩都同意把所有的单曲都交到美国著名的音乐制作人菲尔·斯派托(Phil Spector)手里，重新运用其他的乐器以技术手段重新进行混合录音，并且最终于1970年麦卡特尼宣布离队后不久发行。而这张专辑则是去除了当时斯派托重新混音后的，1969年录制的原始版本，由于去掉了后期合成混音，以及原版本中的粗糙的杂音，专辑也被非常形象的取名为“Naked”。
