钱面：中心铸有孙中山先生的侧面像，边缘内上镌中文书“中华民国二十五年”字样；
钱背：铸有古布图，左右有币值“伍分”，直线边齿，成色89%；将钱币背面改成古布图案设计的目的是财政部计划发行减重、降色银币时与标准船洋区分用。

镍币介绍
1935年11月，国民党政府宣布实行法币政策，禁止银元在市面流通，随后发行可在市场上流通的21种版别的镍币。
由于国人用银已久，故实施法币政策之初，为免人心浮动，中央银行尚无意完全禁用银圆，计画以缩小尺寸、减轻重量及降低成色来防止私毁偷运出口。这段时期所规划的减重降色银圆，
正面均为孙中山侧面肖像，年份有“民国二十五年”及“民国二十六年”两种；背面则有古布图及帆船，部分版式亦曾以铜、镍等材质试打。改成古布图案设计的目的是财政部计划发行减重、降色银币时与标准船洋区分用。前上海中央造币厂的模具皆委托美国费城造币厂制作，“二十五年”布图壹圆银币镍样乃美国费城造币厂试制的样币。
