一般地说,new是形容词,newly是副词,二者不同,但new除作形容词外,在一些特定的词组里也可用作副词。
1、new 作为副词
new 作为副词,目前只存在于一些惯用特定的复合词中。例如:

new-laid eggs
new-baked bread
new-found pride
new-fallen leaves
new-fangled gadgets
new-fashioned clothes…。
2、其他可自由加上表示“新的”复合形容词就用newly,例如:
