Hello, everybody！
Today I’m glad that Ms. Liu gave me an opportunity to be here, to
show the best myself in front of all of you. I’d love to start now, but first of all,
let’s just start the introduction with the
most important thing—my name.
Did you know that? My
Chinese name is Ligaoge，and you can call me in the English
way on our Eng
lish classes, Amy--if you like.
I really love English,
especially American English. Last year at summer camp, I met a
sweet big American girl named Lauren. Her college’s name is James Madison University. I write her every week
for over a year. Our friendship grows stronger. And that improved
my writing skills. Isn’t that
cool?
I love reading English books! I
like <Anne of Green gables>, <Alice’s adventures in wonderland>, <Heidi>,
<Daddy-long-legs>, <the secret garden>, and so on.
Which one is my favorite? It’s certainly
<Uncle Tom’s cabin>!
Before reading, I
thought that maybe the cabin was in a forest, made of woods, and
had some snow on the top. Such a wonderful cabin! With full of
curiosity, I opened the book and finally knew that
it’s a sad story.
It talked about slavery in the early 18 hundreds in America. But I
still like it because it really made me moved, even
cry.
I also love English songs. My
favorite songs are “big big
world”, which one I sang at the game of our
training days ago; “Lemon
tree”, “Proud of
you”; and “God is a
girl”. My favorite paragraph is:
“She wants to shine forever in time
She is so driven,
she’s always mine
Cleanly and free she wants you
to be
A part of the future, a girl
like me.
There is a sky illuminating us,
Somebody is out there that we
truly trust,
There is a rainbow for you and
me,
A beautiful sunrise
eternally______”

It’s from “God is a
girl”.
I’m now
studying < new concept English >two, unit two.
I’ve been studying English for seven years
and I learn something new every day. I’m
always excited for new knowledge. I’m good
at every subject, that’s why
I’ve got one hundred ninety five point five
marks in the test in July. Now many foreigners say that my
English is “awesome”. I
believe, “better”
is always better than
“best”. I want to fly
higher in my life. I’ve been a class
leader for three years, because I want to get more experiences. I
want to go to the best University of the world--Harvard University.
I want to learn more and more.
I believe that we can all take another step of our
English studying way together holding hands.
