天门中断楚江开，碧水东流至此回。
两岸青山相对出，孤帆一片日边来。

The medial breach
through rushes Chu River
Of Mount Celestial
Gate, where comes in rapid
pace
The eastward rolling emerald
water.
In the abrupt appearance
standing face to f
ace
The mountain on each bank
leaps to the eye.
Far beyond golden kiss of sea
and sky,
Being
crowned with glowing sunshine lace and
coat,
Does loom a lonely sailing,
fluttering boat.
Notes:
1.
Mount Celestial
Gate: It is located in the southwest reach of Wu Hu, An Hui, a part
of the Yangzi River, with Bo Wang Mountain to its east, Liangshan
to its west and Chu River flowing in between. It gets its name for
the breach looks like a gate.
2.
Chu River: A part of Yangzi
River flowing from Yi Chan, Hu Bei down through Wu Hu, An Hui. Due
to the area the river runs through belonging to Chu State, the poet
named the river as Chu River.
