君子而不仁者有矣
（宪问篇14.06）
子曰：“君子而不仁者有矣夫，未有小人而仁者也。”
【译文】
孔子说：“君子中没有仁德的人是有的，而小人中有仁德的人是没有的。”
【英译】
The Master said, 'Superior men, and yet not always virtuous, there have been, alas! But there never has been a mean man, and, at the same time, virtuous.'
