Attitude,The Alphabet - uses letters of the alphabet
As a Chloé fan, it is such a privilege for me to be involved in; even more, I am contributing to letter Z, the story of Zoom, one of the 26 letters which means a lot to me (for those know me well, you know what I mean….) I clearly remember the first time I fell in love with Chloé, I am always impressed with the Chloé by Karl Lagerfeld and by Phoebe Philo, I am still wearing the Chloé simple yet chic skirt I bought years ago….
To me, my passion to fashion is more about fine craftsmanship, innovative design and small details with big impact. “Zoom” is exactly the word that high fashion is dedicated to. Simplicity is the gene of this fashion house which always creates elegant and feminine clothes, but simplicity is more than the ultimate sophistication. From the finishing on a chiffon frock to embroidery on a blouse and the bold statements of embellishment, from sequins, lace to beadwork and fine needlepoint etc., Chloé’s love of craft has always lead to experimentation with patterns, prints and embroidery. Over the years, these little things have given life to the big imaginations of every designer at the helm and have a big impact during the fashion journey.
What does “Zoom” mean for life? It is more than getting the lens zoomed in. It could be wonderful and beyond imagination sometimes.It may be when two strangers meet by chance and get to know each other, and then get hands hold and take one to each other’s heart…. When getting close physically, there may be some chemicals kicking in all of a sudden….one never know what gonna happen in life….
What I do know is that the Chloé retrospective exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris is a must-see spot for any fashionistas as well as Chloé fans who appreciate and adore simplicity and fine craftsmanship by the talents of the Chloé Ateliers.
