Description: This may be a single or multi-stemmed mallee 9-24' tall (3-8 m) with a dense canopy of stiff foliage. The trunk bark is smooth, polished brown or pale gray. Leaves are shaped like a lance and are generally green in color. One main attraction to this species is the long, finger-like bright yellow buds followed by yellow flowers (occasionally brick red). This species is found in West Australia in the wheatbelt and goldfields. A good Eucalypt in cultivation under a wide range of conditions. Full sun and well-drained soils are the minimum. Drought, frost and salt tolerant.
