南仁刚和他的《九龙出海图》

“仁者乐山,智者乐水。”南仁刚乐马。
马,温顺祥和,自古以来,为历代帝王将相所喜好。远自秦汉时期的秦始皇兵马俑,东汉的马踏飞燕,近取清宫廷画家郎世宁,以及近代徐悲鸿、马晋大师等以马为题材的画家,领中国艺坛风骚长达数百年。
所谓千里马常有,伯乐不常有。今天我们要推举的画家----《九龙出海图》的作者南仁刚先生,出生于1949年,是当代中国画坛颇俱影响的黑土画派实力派人物。
南仁刚一生爱马、养马、牧马、画马。10岁起开始画马,青年时期从军,开始了与马为伴的戎马生涯。50年的画马经历,深刻体验到战马的彪悍、野马的刚烈、赛马的狂放,其作品充分体现了马的精神。
《九龙出海图》是南仁刚应广州2010年亚运会组委会的邀请,特意为第16届亚运会主题募捐奉献的心力之作。自古以来,万事取九为大。作品以龙喻马,取数为九,充分寄托了南仁刚对国运昌隆、长治久安的真诚祝福,以及早日实现中华民族伟大复兴、加快中国在世界的和平崛起的美好展望。
南仁刚说,我虽然出生在东北,但对南国广州怀有很深的感情。广州历史文化悠久,是我国最早对世界开放的现代化大都市。我要借为广州亚运会创作《九龙出海图》的机会,充分体现当代南粤人民乃至全中国人民前瞻的视野,开放的胸怀和奋进不止的龙马精神!
为了彰显这一主题,作品充分发挥了南仁刚以书入画的一贯风格。驰毫骤墨,笔下生风,无不倾注了喷薄的激情和浪漫主义的乐观情怀。在《九龙出海图》中,一望无边的浩瀚宇宙,一群傑傲的精灵,用春雷般的宣言向世界预告了一个新时代的来临!整幅作品大气磅礴,令人震撼。在构图上,九马姿态各异,或昂首奋蹄,或迎风长啸,宛如一条腾飞的巨龙,气韵生动,浑然天成,严密的均衡和强烈的张力终归于和谐的统一。

观乎此图,我们可以得出这样的结论:对马,南仁刚先生心无旁物,情有独钟!这也促使他必须更加致力于表现蕴含在马身上的那种人性的自由和澎湃九霄的时代潮音!进而我们可以探究画家何以能够师古而不泥古,入世而不欺世---因为心灵的自由,画家的手获得了彻底的解放!于是,我们不难理解,对于南仁刚先生,对于我们每一名观众,马是唯一,更是万象,是本我的回归,自我的观照,更是超我的渴望与追求!

Wise men love mountains and water. Nan Rengang loves horses.

Horse is the gentle animal. Since the ancient times, the emperor liked them. From Terracotta Army in Qin dynasty to Matafeiyan in East Han dynasty, we can find a large numbers of products of horses in different forms. Majin and Lang Shining, the horse painters in Qing dynasty, as well as the morden painter Xu Beihong were all the experts who were good at horses painting. So the history of horses painting is very long.
There are many good horses but only a few people can judge them. Nan Rengang is one of them. Nan Rengang was born in 1949. He is one of the excellent painters of Heituhua school in Chinese modern times.
Nan Rengang loves horses, feeds horses, and paints horses. He started painting the horse when he was 10. He served in the army when he was young with horses companied. More than 50 years of horses painting make him experienced with the doughty of horses. His works shows the bold and unconstrained spirit of horses.
Nine Chinese dragons jump over the sea drew by Nan Rengang is for the 2010 Guangzhou Asia Games, Chinese ancient people thought nine is the highest figure. Hence, the number 9 actually stands for the strongest magic powers.
This picture reposes the best wishes form Mr. Nan to the rejuvenation of Chinese nation in a peaceful way.
Nan Rengang said he has a deep and favorable impression to developed Guangzhou city though he was born in north China. The picture Nine Chinese dragons jump over the sea also shows the positive vision and opening mind of Guangzhou people in their hard working.
In this picture, Nan Rengang, who is used to carrying passion and romance in his life, brought whole of his style into this picture. In this picture, a group of proud eidolons make a sound announcement to the world, a brand-new epoch is approaching. In this heart quaking works, nine horses pose differently. Some are striding with their chins up; some are howling against the wind. The smart layout and intense power imbedded in this picture finally give birth to an integration of harmony and unity. Nan Rengang loves horse. This spurs his commitment to depict the free spirit of horse in order to inspire the human being. He advocates the freedom in which he has mentally liberated himself. That is the reason why he takes fancy to the ancient style, but never being trapped into the stereotype. By following this clue, we can get to know that horse is not only itself but also the reflection of the world. The horse is not only a horse, but an inspiration to highlight ourselves, and even a momentum to upgrade ourselves for a better future.
[1]Here, dragon is not really means dragon. It substitutes horse from the perspective of Chinese culture.
