1. Learn some new words and useful expressions:
(1)stick, be ready for, language
(2)I can’t wait to fly there!
You’ll have a good chance to practice speaking English there.
Try your best and work much harder later on.
2. Help the students to learn the usage of passive voice.
(1)Disneyland is enjoyed by millions of people from all over the
world.
(2)English is spoken as the first language in America.
(3)It is also widely used throughout the world now.

1. (教师呈现一些写有国家、语言、人民的卡片,并把国家名称的卡片贴在黑板上,复习三者的对应关系,引出生词和被动语态。)

Yeah. Chinese and English are both
languages, and
Chinese is spoken by the most people
throughout the world, but English is the most popular language
throughout the world.

T: There are many countries in the world. Different languages are
spoken by different people. Now here are some cards about the
languages and the people. Can you
stick them on the
blackboard in a right order?(教师用动作表示stick的意思,并领读。)

(边听边观察,若学生有许多不懂之处,再放一遍录音,后核对答案。)
3. (学生分组朗读1a,完成1b的练习,后核对答案。特别提醒对被动语态的理解,对于写得好的同学给予鼓励。)
4. (学生再读课文,找出重、难点内容,培养快速阅读能力。)
