To paint a typical picture of a freshman, we may look at a remarkable aspect — the way they appear. On campus, if we see a student with conservative hair style, simple clothes, and a frequent “May I come in?” （报告）, walking noisily while talking shyly, we would assume that he or she might be a freshman
Now we turn to another aspect — the way they study. A freshman is used to listening to the teacher attentively, taking notes carefully and trying hard to remember the material he or she has learnt.

should observe discipline and carry out every order from above, and is afraid of giving teachers a bad impression. “Is it proper?” or “Can I?” are the words teachers often hear from a freshman.
For a freshman, if one thing goes wrong, the day is ruined. A freshman is busy saying “hello”.
To sum up, a freshman is innocent and obedient, and he or she feels fresh and fanciful.
