Young's Self-introduction
Hi,there.My name is Young. I was born on February 5th,1988, raised
in a very poor family in the countryside of Hebei Province and
lived there for 18 years.When I was a child,I kept asking myself
two questions:1.Why do my parents work extremely hard
everyday?2.Why we are still struggling against the poverty line?But
I did a very poor academic performance and was quite a black sheep
in my family,then I left junior high school without graduation when
I was 15 years old.I did a lot of jobs back at that time in the
society:Washing dishes,driving tractor,selling small goods like
pants and socks and even working in the coal mine. But in the year
2002,because of a terrible accident during mechanical operating,my
left arm was severely injured and I lost my physical working
ability.So I had to return to school to continue my study in order
to make a living in the future cau
se there's no other way out. Though I finally got a pretty good
reputation at the very beginning of high school,I still chose to
drop out again when I was 18 years old,just to follow my own dream
of becoming a public speaker to spread the theme EVERYONE CAN BE
SUCCESSFUL.I firmly believe that God is fair to everyone,you just
need to have a crystal clear goal and focus on it until you realize
your own value in this wonderful society!
By now,I have delivered speeches to more than 3,000,000 students in
China.I also had the privilege of becoming the youngest Beijing
Olympic volunteers' Principle Foreign Language Trainer and the
youngest guest professor in Chinese college.All I want to say
is:There's never a 'never' in your life if you really believe in
what you can become!
I would like to share with each and everyone of you
today:If you have a dream in your mind,never hesitate,be bold to it
and take action right now! Thank you!

大家好，我叫杨亮，我出生于1988年2月5号，在河北省一个农村的贫困家庭长大，一直住到18岁。在我小时候，我常常问自己两个问题：1、为什么我的父
母每天如此辛苦地工作？2、为什么我们始终还是一直在贫困线上挣扎？但是我在学校成绩不好，在家里也是不是个好儿子，15岁的时候初中还没有毕业就辍学
了。我那时在社会上做了很多工作：洗盘子，开拖拉机，卖袜子、裤子等小商品，甚至在煤矿做矿工。
但是在2002年的时候，由于一起严重的工伤事故，我的左臂受了重伤，丧失了体力劳动的能力，所以在无路可走的情况下，为了将来谋生，我不得不重新回到学
校完成学业。
虽然在刚刚步入高中的时候，我在学校已经有了很好的声誉，但是在18岁的时候我再一次选择了辍学去追求自己的梦想：做一名出色的演说家，传播“人人都能成
功”的理念。我坚信上帝对每个人都是公平的，只要你有一个清晰明确的目标并且能够专注，你就一定能够在这个美好的社会实现自己的价值！
现在，我已经在中国向300万人发表了演讲。我同时还有幸成为了北京奥运会最年轻的外语首席培训师以及中国最年轻的大学客座教授。我只想说：如果你真正相
信你能够成为什么，在你的生命中就永远没有“不可能”这几个字！
我想在今天分享给每一个人：如果你胸怀梦想，那么就永远不要犹豫，大胆一点，马上行动！

2012年4月14日附我的自我介绍修改版如下（两年来我的英语进步了很多（虽然还不够好），也在此向我以前教过的很多学生致歉（在过去的授课生涯当中，由于自身不是正规科班出身，英语水平及其有限，不能最大限度地教好你们。教不严师之惰，我深知这句话的深意，也时刻在自我提升。让我最欣慰的一点，就是我一直在和我的学生一起进步，也在时刻认真倾听你们的每一条建议！也再次感谢大家的体谅，体谅我这个半路出家教英语的黄毛小子！）：
Young's Self-introduction
Hi, there. My name is Young. I was born on February 5th,
1988, raised in a very poor family in the countryside of Hebei
Province and lived there for 18 years. During my juvenile era, I
kept asking myself two questions: 1. Why do my parents work
extremely hard everyday? 2. Why are we still struggling against the
poverty line? Yet no exact answer came to my mind. As for me, I did
a very poor academic performance and was quite a black sheep in my
family. Then I left junior high school without graduation when I
was 15 years old due to the above reasons as well as the economic
shortage my parents faced. Afterwards, I did a variety of jobs in
the society: washing dishes, driving tractor, selling small goods
like pants and socks and even working in the coal mine. These hard
jobs had taught me a heart-breaking yet precious lesson: You could
not live a decent and comfortable life in this world without proper
and sufficient knowledge.
As is often the case, when God closes a door, he will open a
window for you. In 2002, because of a terrible accident during a
machine operation, my left arm was severely injured and my physical
working ability was thus lost. So I had to return to school to
continue my study in order to make a living in the future as
there's no other way out.
When I was in junior three, I happened to see a book called
Crazy English, the founder of which -- Li Yang’s story
inspired me so enormously that I stuck to English learning crazily
for three months and my life has totally changed from then on. Not
only did I greatly improve my oral English, but I also built up
high self-esteem and a strong character as well.
Though I finally got a pretty good reputation on campus at
the very beginning of high school, I still chose to drop out again
when I was 18 years old, just to follow my own dream of becoming a
public speaker to spread the theme EVERYONE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN A
PARTICULAR FIELD. I firmly believe that God is fair to everyone;
you just need to have a crystal clear goal and focus on it until
you realize your own value in this wonderful
society！

大家好，我叫杨亮，我出生于1988年2月5号，在河北省一个农村的贫困家庭长大，一直住到18岁。在我的少年时期，我常常问自己两个问题：1、为什么我的父母每天如此辛苦地工作？2、为什么我们始终还是一直在贫困线上挣扎？但我一直没有找到准确的答案。而我，在学校成绩又不好，在家里也不是个好儿子。最终由于上述原因和我父母面临的经济困难，我15岁的时候初中还没有毕业就辍学了。我那时在社会上做了很多工作：洗盘子，开拖拉机，卖袜子、裤子等小商品，甚至在煤矿做矿工。这些艰苦的工作给我上了让自己心碎但同时也非常宝贵的一课：在这个社会上，没有适当充足的知识，你就无法过上体面和舒适的生活。
通常情况下，上帝在给我们关闭一扇门的同时，会为我们打开一扇窗。在2002年的时候，由于一起严重的工伤事故，我的左臂受了重伤，丧失了体力劳动的能力，所以在无路可走的情况下，为了将来谋生，我不得不重新回到学校完成学业。
当我在初三的时候，碰巧看到一本叫做《疯狂英语》的书，疯狂英语创始人李阳老师的故事极大地触动了我，所以我疯狂地学习了三个月的英语，从此改变了自己的人生。不光是英语进步了，同时我也拥有了高度的自我评价和坚强的性格。
