墨西哥于1984年2月23日成为联合国教科文组织世界遗产委员会成员国。
世界遗产委员会任期：1985-1991，1991-1997，1997-2003，2009-2013，2021-2025。
截止2021年7月31日第44届世界遗产大会闭幕，墨西哥共计拥有35项世界遗产，遗产包括27项文化遗产，6项自然遗产，2项文化与自然双重遗产。遗产总数列世界第7位。
