The Man Who Wanted Gold
And The Wishing Flower
By first grader Moira
Once there was a man who loved gold more than anything .
The next day he went outside.
He found a Flower. The flower could SPEAK!
“Would you like a wish?” The flower asked.
“YES!” “I would like every thing I touch to turn into gold.”
“Are you sure?” Asked the Flower. “I don’t think it’s a good idea.” The flower said.
“I’m sure.” Said the man.
“Okay.” Said the Flower. “Your wish will be granted by tomorrow.”
He woke up the next morning eager to try out his new powers.
He went outside touched the tree and…POOF! It turned into gold!
“GOLD!” “GOLD!” “MORE GOLD!” So he went on touching stuff.
Finally he got tired. So he went to his palace and he ate breakfast he touched the spoon…POOF! It turned into gold!
He touched his food…POOF! It turned into gold!
“Oh my!” “Oh my!”
He said and he ran to the wishing flower.
“Please”! He said.
“So you figured out why I said I don’t think that is a good idea?”
“Yes I have. Could you undo the spell?”
“Yes.”
“Thank you so much! “
“Are you ready?”
“Yes!”
“Okay POOF! You are back to normal now.”
