treasure和wealth,
三词均可表示“财富”，但它们在具体所指的意思上存在着侧重点。
（1）fortune:作“财富”解时是一个可数名词，意为large amount of
money，因此，它表达的“财富”实为“钱”。如：
He made a considerable fortune
selling waste materials.
He received a large fortune
when his uncle died.
She had a little fortune in the
bank with which to help her mother.
另外，作“财富”解的fortune有两个词组：
make a
fortune（发财）；seek one’s fortune（寻找致富及成功之道）。如：
He made his fortune by selling
cars.
He went to Australia to seek
his fortune.
（2）treasure作“财富”解时，既可作可数名词，也可作不可数名词，意为：
(store of) gold, silver,
jewels, etc。因此，它实为“金银财宝”之意。如：
One of his greatest treasures
was a gold box full of jewels.
The buried treasure consisted
of a box full of gold and precious stones.
（3）wealth作“财富”解时是一个不可数名词，意为：: (possession of a ) large amount of
money, property,
etc。因此，它实际上是一个人所拥有的资产的总称，既包括钱，也包括其它财产。如：
Nobody knew how she had
acquired her wealth.
Wealth had not brought them
happiness.
The country’s wealth is based
on trade.
