《果岭争雄》（The Greatest Game Ever
Played）这部取自真实题材的电影。小帅哥Francis Ouimet精湛的球技和可爱小球童Eddie

Once before the

almost unknown 21-year-old Boston amateur with caddie of the

Vardon and Ted Ray, the great English Professionals, in a dramatic

10-year-old caddie, Eddie Lowery. What could be more fitting than a
visit with the two men as they walk the old familiar course.
Francis： “ Eddie. Do you remember this hole？”
Eddie：
“ I’ll remember that last hole tied the famous
Vardon and Ray.”
Francis： “ Yes, but you know these traps were not there
then.”
Eddie：
“ No.”
Francis： “ It was just the
grass bank④.”
Eddie：
“ But you made a great chip-up 5 feet from the hole,
and I don’t believe it took you more than 6 or 7 seconds to knot
that ball in it and tie at the 304. When you come up here in the
playoff this hole with the completely different hole. Francis. You
remember that?”
Francis： “ Yes indeed I do.
Eddie：
“ When you put your second shot on the green
and, of course, that time I knew you won the title.”
Francis： “ Well, I never realizes that until I head the little putt
for forward.”
Eddie：
“ Well, it was a great day.”
Francis： “ Yes, it was.”

有天赋撑腰再加上不断的努力与尝试，奥密特终于在1913年国家公开赛中改变了英国球员独占鳌头的历史，年方20岁的他带着一位不及球袋高的10岁小球童缓步上场，将来自英国的高球世界冠军哈利·瓦顿(Harry
Vardon)挑战下马，这是一场震撼了高尔夫球界的绝世天才与冠军好手的超级比赛，现场1万多名观众见证了这一激动人心的历史时刻。
