圣经英语第十课 The Call of Abram 呼召亚伯兰
1 The LORD had said to Abram, 'Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2 'I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.' 4 So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.

耶和华对亚伯兰说，你要离开本地，本族，父家，往我所要指示你的地去。我必叫你成为大国，我必赐福给你，叫你的名为大，你也要叫别人得福。为你祝福的，我必 赐福与他。那咒诅你的，我必咒诅他，地上的万族都要因你得福。亚伯兰就照著耶和华的吩咐去了。罗得也和他同去。亚伯兰出哈兰的时候，年七十五岁。亚伯兰将 他妻子撒莱和侄儿罗得，连他们在哈兰所积蓄的财物，所得的人口，都带往迦南地去。他们就到了迦南地。创12：1-5

Abram 是Abraham 亚伯拉罕改名前本来的名字。
leave your country, 离开你的祖国，I leave Beijing for Shanghai. 我离开北京前往上海。
the land I will show you. I will show you. 是个从句，修饰the land。
I will make you into a…, 这里的into相当于I will make you to become a… 。
You will be a blessing. = You will be a blessing to other nations.
all peoples, 注意，这里people用了s，意思是民族，也可以说是nations。many people 很多人
set out 出发，She set out at dawn for town. 她一大早就动身往城里赶。
possession 财物，也可以说belongings。
accumulate积累，gather的意思。This is not treasure. You are accumulating trash. 这不是宝贝，你在收藏垃圾。（保罗说，财宝对他而言如粪土。）
acquire 得到，获得To acquire learning takes time. 获取学识需要花费时间。

11. Are you willing to leave your hometown, your parents for the Lord?
12. Are you willing to go to a place you don’t know at all?
13. What is God’s promise to Abram?
14. Do you count blessings from the Lord every day? What are the blessings you have now?
15. Do you intend to bless other people around you now or someday?
16. Who is Lot? Who is Sarai? Where is Haran?
17. Do you have a desire to possess a lot of things? Are you going to be possessed by your possessions? How many possessions have you accumulated so far?
18. Did Jesus have a lot of possessions? Are you willing to live a simple life as Jesus?
19. Do you think that Abram had some servants? (Yes, he acquired some people.)
20. Where was their destination? Where were they going to?


这一段很重要，谈到犹太民族的起源。亚伯拉罕因为顺服了神的呼召，因此也被称为信心之父。'Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.'Romans 4:3 基督徒有一个重要的特征，就是不怕背井离乡。主耶稣也是要求基督徒往天下去，使万民成为他的门徒。
重要之点：1. 亚伯兰不是自己离家出走，而是有来自神清楚的呼召。
2. 亚伯兰愿意顺服，放弃已经有的舒适生活，他有家、亲戚、仆人等等。
3. 亚伯兰这是也不再年轻，似乎是当享受退休生活的生活了。
4. 神祝福我们的目的，是为了祝福他人。
今天中国的基督徒离家一里路就唉声叹气，叫他去非洲、伊拉克、南美洲，怕是没门。
