地、河流、泥地、森林、暴風雨，最後終於來到了有熊居住的山洞，但熊兩眼一瞪，他們立刻往回跑，穿過暴風雪、森林、泥地、河流及草地一路跑回家，衝上樓，跳上床，異口同聲說：「我們再也不要去獵熊了！」這本書節奏輕快，讀者能隨著故事情節享受獵熊之旅的興奮，也能感受到被熊追趕的刺激！由於書中不斷運用over，under及through三個介係詞，對於正在學介係詞的小朋友而言透過故事了解其意是一種輕輕鬆鬆又有效的方法。
