拼缀法（blending）是把两个词同时中止裁剪，或截头或去尾，或只裁剪两个词中的一个，保存另外一个。然后把两部分拼合在一同，构成一个新词。Blending is a process of word formaiton by combining parts of two words or a word plus a part of another word. 细致做法包括分为：词首+词尾，词首+词首，词首+单词，单词+词尾。拼缀法构词普通首先呈现于报刊文章、科技文章利。用这种构词法创造的新词言简意丰，活泼新鲜，符合古代人快节拍的甚或。必须供认，拼缀法（blending）是当代英语新词汇展开丰厚的次要的构词方式之一。
