refused to cross Wu River to surrender his rivalry LiuBan on the

钓台:相传为汉代严子陵垂钓之地,在桐庐(今属浙江)县东南。西汉末年,严光(字子陵)与刘秀是朋友,刘秀称帝(汉光武帝)后请严光做官,严光拒绝,隐居在浙江富春江。其垂钓之所后人为钓,亦名严滩。 Fishing Pavilion is a place where Yan Zhilin in Han Dynasty
fished. It is located in the southeast of Tonglu county, Zejiang
Province. In the last years of West Han Dynasty, Yan’s friend Liu
Xiu was throned as HanWu emperor. He invited Yan to serve in his
cabinet. Yan declined and lived a seclusive life by Fuchun River.
The place where he fished has been a fishing spot ever since, named
