What We Cannot Afford to Lose
 We youths often ask each other what we cannot afford to lose, which I often think over. Here is my answer.
First, we can't afford to lose our youth. Youth is a time which is precious to everybody. If we cannot make full use of it to learn more and improve ourselves, we will regret when we are old and achieve nothing. Therefore we should work hard to learn more when we are young in order not have regrets when we are old. Catching your youth, you are the biggest winner.
Second, we can't afford to lose chances. A chance is something that sometimes goes by you if you don't seize it. Our teachers often tell us everybody has the same chances and what matters is to see who can seize it. Only by seizing every possible chance, we can make ourselves make the greatest progress.
Thirdly, we can’t afford to lose our friends. Don’t quarrel with your friends often even if they
make some mistakes. What are true friends? When you laugh they laugh with you; when you are sad they are sad with you. Remember that a good friend sometimes treats you better than your brother. So try to be kind to your friends and do your best to help them when they are in trouble.
Finally, we can't afford to lose our family. Our family are our closest people in the world. Once you hurt or lose them, you will live sadly. Therefore, love your father, mother, partner, children when they are with you because they really take care of you when you are in need and only they don’t look down upon you even if you are the ugliest.
In a word, my dear friends, let's make the most of our youth, seize each chance which passes us and treat our family well. Only in this way can we be happy persons.
