《红雪莲》的英文原作

拙作《荷兰低地红雪莲》介绍了洪启《红雪莲》的词曲来历（详文见http://liwan-blog.blog.163.com/blog/static/1269821752012313105723338/），但有一些具体资料，未列周详。尤其是，他所依据的英语民歌版本，听起来什么样？歌词又是什么样子？
洪启《红雪莲》所依据的英文原作，出自蒂娜·劳顿的首张专辑（1965年出版）。西方民谣爱好者习称之“无标题专辑”，依现在的惯例，可称之“同名专辑”——专辑上除了蒂娜·劳顿的姓名，并无其他名称。

蒂娜·劳顿版的The Lowlands of Holland，音频和歌词极为难寻。在寻找过程中，先是得到“双鱼宫掌灯人”听记下的歌词。由于歌词中存有一些谬误，郝佳先生对照着音频，边听边对之进行了勘误和修正。针对一些疑难，郝佳又找到了澳大利亚的民谣爱好者Paul先生，后者对这首歌的来历、其中的疑词难点，作了简要解析。
据Paul先生说，在英语民歌流域，这首歌还有一个广为人知的名字：The Jolly Sailer Bold。

据Paul介绍：蒂娜·劳顿，澳大利亚民歌手、艺术家，录此首张专辑时21岁，时为1965年12月。专辑收录英伦三岛民歌，辅以竖琴（Huw Jones ）和吉他伴奏（Andy Sundstrom ）。
1966年，蒂娜·劳顿出现在ABC电影《躁动的岁月》中，同年推出第二、第三张专辑《会唱歌的鸟》（The Singing Bird）、《集市和货船》（Fair and Tender ），并到越南等地进行劳军演出。1968年，蒂娜在苏格兰爱丁堡进行全日制的艺术研究，但仍间隙性地在英国演出。
1968年12月，蒂娜去非洲肯尼亚拜会一位朋友，22日因小飞机坠毁遇难。
