I want to persuade you to do something equally important in the
course of your reading. 我劝你在读书过程中做一件同等重要的事情

I want to persuade you to 'write between the lines.' 我劝你 “ 在字里行间里写字 ” 。
Unless you do,you are not likely to do the most efficient kind of reading. 不这样做， 就达不到最有效的阅读效果。
