唐卡简介：弥勒佛 （Maitreya Buddha）
弥勒佛，即藏传佛教中的“强巴佛”，为未来佛，也是唯一一尊在教义中被小乘佛教和大乘佛教共同尊崇的佛。经载他将在现在佛（释迦牟尼）灭度4000年后降临人间，化度一片在没有佛教为精神指引下苟存的众生。在藏传佛教中无论口诵或心念及至耳闻弥勒咒，自释迦灭度至弥勒出世之际，众生若坠三恶道者，皆悉度出之。可助长所获得的当世功德及至能成转世圣王，能生于兜率宫内。能成一切如愿，寿命财宝长远丰饶。还可助当世心愿达成，规当下的身心以正途从而改变运程的流转。
Maitreya Buddha is the Future Buddha who is expected to come to earth from Tushita Heaven. It is said that he will pass through the life of a Bodhisattva in the Tushita Heaven to prepare for his descent to earth in human form. He will come to earth a full 4000 years after disappearance of the Present Buddha (Shakyamuni) for the deliverance of all sentient beings. He is the only Bodhisattva who is worshipped both by the Hinayanists and Mahayamists.
