比如如果A原来是on B的,那么摔/掉下来就要用 fall off 例如: fall off the chair (椅子)
对应 on the chair fall off the roof (屋顶) 对应 on the
roof
但是如果描写摔下来之前的情况,如果用的介词不是on而是at, in,之类的,就要用A falls from B
例如: falls from a height of 500 meters (500米的高度)
对应 at a height of 500 meters falls from the sky (天空)
对应 in the sky falls from power (权力)
对应 in power falls from heaven (天堂)
对应 in heaven (由…口里)说出The news fell from his lips.
这则消息由他嘴透露出来。
fall off强调的是“跌落、从……掉下来”,后直接接宾语。
The girl is falling off the bike.=The girl is falling down from the
bike.女孩正从自行车上摔下来。
