一、教材分析:
本单元主要介绍的是感恩节、国旗日这些节日,以及这些节日所做的事情。主要是让学生了解更多西方节日,培养跨文化意识。在教本单元之前,学生在三、四年级已经学过春节以及圣诞节这些节日,所以学生已有一定的基础。
二、学情分析:
六年级的学生已掌握了一定的听说、读、写的技能,他们始终保持着对英语的浓厚的兴趣,课堂上大多数学生能积极发言,但仍有一部分学生基础较差。
三、教学目标:
ont FACE='Times New Roman'> 知识目标:学生能听、说、认读本单元的新单词如:flag, Flag Day, special, meal, sound等,以及了解西方国家的节日:国旗日和感恩节。
能力目标:能用本单元的句型 Can you tell me more about American festivals? What do you do on Thanksgiving Day? 向别人介绍自己所喜爱的节日。
情感目标:通过感恩节的学习,培养起学生的感恩之心。
四、教学准备:PPT,微视频, 单次卡片等。
五、教学过程:
Pre-task:
1.I say, you do (play basketball, fly kite, watch TV ect)
(设计意图)通过全身反应法,激活动词短语,为后面What do you do on Thanksgiving Day 做好准备。
2.Free talk: T:What do you do at the weedend?
Ss:I (pictures given on PPT)
T:That sounds nice.
T:Do you …at the weekend?
No, we fly the flag.
(设计意图) 通过与生谈话,操练就的句型,同时在语境中操练That sounds nice.这一句型,引出单词flag及短语fly the flag.同时通过展示不同国家的国旗,拓宽学生的视野。
3.Listen to the two festivals and answer:

(设计意图) 激活旧知,引出新知。激活了已学的节日,引出新的表示食物及节日的词汇如:moon cake, the Mid-Autumn 等,为后面的输出埋下了伏笔。
While task:
1. Listen and answer:
(1).What festivals are they talking about?
(2).Watch the video and know something about Thanksgiving and Flag Day.
(设计意图) 让学生带着任务去听课文,整体感知课文。

(设计意图) 学生通过自己阅读,提取信息,并通过阅读,解决了specialmeal 这两个词的含义。

1. Pairwork: talk about the American Festivals as follow:
A:Can you tell me more about American Festivals?
B:Well, Flag Day is my favourite festival.
A:When is it?
B:It is inJune.
A:What do you do on that day?
B:We fly the flag and sing songs.
A:That sounds nice.
(设计意图) 通过对话操练,巩固课内所学节日以及句型。
2.我是文化传承小使者:
Simon Daming 介绍了美国的节日,Simon也想
了解中国的文化,假如你是Daming,
Simon介绍一下中国的节日吧。(春节,端午及中秋)
例如:Let me tell you more about Chinese festivals.
The Sring Festival is my favourite festival .
It is in January.
We eat dumplings and we have a big family dinner.
(设计意图) 整合了本模块第二单元的内容,及国内节日,并拓展延伸,让学生向外国人介绍中国传统节日,弘扬中国文化。
3.Homework:
1Listen and repeat the text;
2Surf on the internet and find out more about American festivals.
(设计意图)课后学生通过互联网了解更多美国法定节假日,使学生信息量得到加大。

教学反思:本节课在教学实施的过程中有以下不足之处:
1. 因为我结合了本模块一二单元的内容即中外节日,所以题目可改成:Festivals
2. 板书不规范,不及时;
3. PPT 制作有些单词有误,有些PPT字儿太小;
4. 有些细小的环节可换换位置,这样环节间才更紧凑;
5. 参与度不够广(是不是目标的设计有点难,没有针对学困生的设计?)
6. 激活导入环节花的时间有点多了?;
7. 时间安排不合理,拖堂三分钟。
