The audio Bible has been transforming for me. It has enhanced my understanding. Many years ago I purchased the cassette version with Efrem Zimbalist Junior, That version is fantastic.

This was a replacement purchase for the one I gave away. I love the dramatized version, it makes the stories easier to follow as you listed. The MP3 format means that I do not have to change discs as often and rarely in the middle of I book and of course keeps the cost down by requiring fewer discs. The one drawback that kept me from giving the product 5 stars was the packaging. The first set I ordered came in a zippered case that made it easy to select a disc. This second purchase came in a plastic folder with all the discs stacked up on a single spindle meaning that I have to remove discs 1-5 to get to disc 6. This means the added cost of purchasing a cd case to overcome this original packaging short-comming.

This is absolutely a spectacular audio version of the NIV. Got it on my IPOD and now I have the bible to listen to in my car whenever I want. Since I do spend a lot of time in the car, I am able to keep up with bible study often and with such pleasure. I recommend this MP3 format very highly.

I ordered several to give as gifts to non-English speaking missionaries to help them tune their ears to the American English. They loved them. I just wished the shipping was faster.

Well done. Makes some of the more 'dry' parts of the bible easier to follow. The sound effects and music add to the drama and imagery to the stories.

I was expecting this to just be an MP3 version of the dramatized cassette version which I like and wore out. However this is differant. It still is the word but not as fun to listen to as the first version to me.
