Ann:
Stop at next corner,
please.
Joe:
Okay.
Joe:
Here?
Ann:
Yes.
Ann:
I have to leave you now. I am going to that
corner there and turn.
You stay in the car nd drive away. Promise me not to watch me go beyond
the corner.
Just drive away and leave me,
as I leave you.
Joe: All
right.
Ann: I don’t know
how to say goodbye. Not make any words.
Joe: Don’t
try.
台词不多,但非常感人,演员用眼神和表情演绎了无数的潜台词。包括一个简单的眼神和目光的角度,都耐人寻味。值得再看一遍。

On the way to the embassy, both of them kept silence, which
seemed to freeze the time.
And then suddenly she said “Stop at next corner, please.”
On arriving
at the corner, she looked out at the embassy cold iron fences,
which looked like those of prisons.

She told him to leave without taking another look at her just as
the way she was going to leave.
Both of them dare not look at each other, for they know one more
glance or word would put them into the tearing situation.

Ann: I don’t know how to say goodbye. Not make any words.
Joe:
Don’t try.
Maybe an embrace would be better than any other word, especially
when they know this would be their last moment together in their
life.

How she wishes to stay for longer or even for life long time
but…
(这里我都不忍心用过去式写了)
He
smiles while looking into her and hopes the smile would reduce her
pain ahead of departure. However he himself can’t control his lips,
so they go up and down , up and down.
(纠结的表情)

Finally , she left.

With tears in eyes, he was empty minded, I bet.

Together with him was an empty street and the cold still
barrier.

Back at the palace the next day, when she saw him right standing in
front of her among the journalists, she was shocked with joy, I
guess.

People
couldn't see through what was behind the clam faces.
Only they knew what the story was and how much they
had paid for that.

I hope he's oaky.

The moment she greeted the last journalist in the row, she smiled
but that smile disappeared soon after she realized it was time to
leave.

Back to the stage, she gave every one at present the official
smile, which made her the prettiest and nicest woman in the
world.

But to him, she gives this.

Nothing could be returned , but this as well.

Time to leave now! He stands still, wishing time could stay
forever.

Anyhow, just leave her as she leaves you. You don't belong to each
other, just as she doesn't belong to herself.
That's
what it is!
