不要用悲伤的语调对我低吟----
“人生不过是梦幻一场”！
因为沉睡的灵魂已经死去，
万物并非他们表面的模样。
生命是真实的！生活是严肃的！
它们的终点决不是坟场；
“你来自尘土，必归于尘土”，
这是指肉体，灵魂并未死亡。
我们注定的道路和结局，
既不是享乐，也不是悲伤；
而是行动，为了每一个明天，
比今天走得更远更长。
生命有限，韶光飞逝，
我们的心尽管英勇而坚强，
却仍像阵阵低沉的鼓声，
正朝着坟墓把哀乐敲响。
在世界辽阔的疆场上，
在生命露宿的营地上；
别作默默无声，任人驱使的羔羊，
要在战斗中当一名英勇无畏的闯将！
莫信托未来，不管它多么欢畅！
让逝去的岁月将过去埋葬！
行动吧，就在活着的此刻行动！
胸中有太阳，头顶有上苍！
伟人的生平把我们提醒，
我们能使人生变得高尚
在离开人世间时，
也能让足印遗留在时间的沙滩上。
呵，足印！
也许另一位兄弟，
当他航行在生命的海洋上，
不幸遇难，看见了这些足印，
他就会使勇气重新生长。
那么，让我们振奋起来行动吧，
准备迎接任何命运的风浪。
要有所作为，不断追求，
学会劳动，也学会等待和期望。

What The Heart Of The Young
Man Said To The Psalmist
Tell me not, in mournful
numbers,
Life is but an empty
dream!
For the soul is dead that
slumbers,
And things are not what they
seem.
Life is real! Life is
earnest!
And the grave is not its
goal;
Dust thou art, to dust
returnest,
Was not spoken of the
soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or
way;
But to act, that each
to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.
Art is long, and Time is
fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and
brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are
beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world`s broad field of
battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven
cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no Future, howe`er
pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its

Act, - act in the living
Present!
Heart within, and God o`erhead!
Lives of great men all remind
us
We can make our lives
sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of
time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o`er life`s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked
brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and
doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to
wait.
