The world is changed.

Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember
it.
过去的一切都已失落,现在已经没有人还记得了
It began with the forging of the great rings. Three were given to
the Elves, immortal,
wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf lords, great
miners and craftsmen of
the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of
Men, who above all
else, desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength
and will to govern each
race. But they were all of them deceived, for another ring was
made.
这一切都从铸造魔戒开始。精灵族得到三枚戒指，他们长生不老，也是最有智慧最公平的种族。矮人族

In the land of Mordor, in the fir
es of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a
master ring, to control all others. And into this Ring, he poured
his cruelty, his malice
and his will to dominate all life.
在魔多末日火山的烈焰中，黑暗魔君索伦秘密铸造了一枚至尊魔戒，来控制其他所有的魔戒。他在至尊

One by one, the free lands of Middle-Earth fell to the power of the
Ring. But there were
some who resisted.

A last alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of
Mordor, and on the slopes of
Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of Middle-Earth.

Victory was near. But the power of the Ring could not be
undone.
胜利终于在望，但至尊魔戒的力量却无人能敌。
It was in this moment when all hope had faded, that Isildur, son of
the King, took up his
father's sword.

Sauron, the enemy of the free-peoples of Middle-Earth was
defeated.
索伦，中土世界自由人民的敌人，终于被击败了。
The Ring passed to Isildur, who had this one chance to destroy evil
forever. But the hearts
of men are easily corrupted. And the Ring of Power has a will of
its own.
至尊魔戒落到了伊西铎手中，他只有一次机会永远摧毁邪恶。但是 人心很常容易受到蛊惑，而且至尊魔
戒有它自己的意志
It betrayed Isildur to his death.
它背叛了伊西铎，最后害死了他。
And some things that should not have been forgotten were
lost.

History became legend, legend became myth and for two and a half
thousand years, the Ring
passed out of all knowledge. Until, when chance came, it ensnared a
new bearer.

Gollum:(v.o.) My Precioussssssss
咕噜姆：我的宝贝
The Ring came to the creature Gollum, who took it deep into the
tunnels of the Misty
Mountains. And there, it consumed him.
至尊魔戒落入咕噜的手中，他把它带到迷雾山脉的洞穴中。在那儿他的身心完全被魔戒占据。
Gollum: It came to me. My own. My love. My own. My prrrecioussssss!
*gollum*

The Ring brought to Gollum unnatural long life. For five hundred
years it poisoned his
mind. And in the gloom of Gollum's cave, it waited. Darkness crept
back into the forest of
the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in the east, whispers of a
nameless fear, and the Ring of
Power perceived its time had now come. It abandoned Gollum.
魔戒让咕噜得到违反自然的长寿，五百年来它扭曲他的心智。魔戒在咕噜阴暗的洞穴中静静地等待着。
黑暗再度笼罩大地，谣言东方升起邪恶力量，人们心中产生莫名的恐惧。至尊魔戒意识到，他即将再度
现身。它抛弃了咕噜。
But something happened then the Ring did not intend. It was picked
up by the most unlikely
creature imaginable.
但是出乎至尊魔戒的意料之外他被一个最意想不到的人捡到
Bilbo: What's this?
毕尔博：这是什么?
A Hobbit. Bilbo Baggins of the Shire.
一个霍比特人,夏尔的比尔博·巴金斯
Bilbo: A ring.
毕尔博：一枚戒指
Gollum: (from far away) Lossssst! My precious is lost!
咕噜：弄丢—————了！我的宝贝不见了！
For the time will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of
all.
不久的将来，霍比特人将决定世界的命运。
