Some people think that they can learn better by themselves than with a teacher. Others think that it is always better to have a teacher. Which do you prefer? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.

In my opinion, it is depends on which stage of people are in. It is better to have a teacher before entering into college. While if people are college students, I think that they can learn better by themselves than with a teacher.
On the one hand, before they go to college. They have no good ability to control themselves to learn and they don’t have quite good method to study. If parents let them learn by themselves at that time, who knows the result is? As we all know, when we were the third grade students in senior high school, most parents rent a room to take care of us and supervise our study. So at that time, it is better to have a teacher to teach us and monitor us at school
. What’s more, we can consult the teachers if we have questions. However, if we learn by ourselves at that time, maybe we cannot spend 12 hours on study and we didn’t like to do our homework punctually, at last, we failed.
On the other hand, if we are college students, we can learn by ourselves mainly. Because we should develop our other abilities besides study and we are old enough to control ourselves. And it is a necessary skill to learn by oneself, for when we work at a company, we will come across a lot of problems. If we cannot solve it by searching the internet or materials, rather to ask for help every time, we will be fired sooner or later. So we should try to learn by ourselves instead of learn from teachers, in order to earn a living in the near future.
To sum it up, whether people should learn by themselves or learn from teachers depends on which stage they are. If they have enough ability to control themselves well, it is better to learn alone. If not, they should have a teacher.
