一说到《摩登家庭》，很多同学都知道这是一部非常受欢迎的情景喜剧，有很多人看过，或者至少听说过。这部由美国广播公司ABC
在2009年推出的sitcom，短短几年内就赢得了多个奖项的提名，到现在已经播出到了第五季。
它的故事是围绕3个美国家庭所展开的。故事中的每个人虽有亲情相连，却各具特色。其中Jay是这个家庭的大家长，他年过半百，却娶了一个比自己年轻30岁的美艳妻子，来自哥伦比亚的Gloria,与他们一起生活的还有Gloria
与前夫所生的儿子Manny.
另外一个家庭是Jay的女儿Claire的一家5口，丈夫Phil,
两个女儿Haley, Alax
和小儿子Luke. Mitchell
是Claire的弟弟，他与热情四射的同性伴侣Cameron一起生活，并且从越南领养了一个女儿Lily.
可以说，光是这部剧的人物关系就已经复杂到让不论是中国观众还是美国观众都眼前一亮。其中每个人的精彩表演在展现温馨亲情的同时不断迸发出搞笑的火花。
