(exclamation)
imperative sentence)
I wish you'd open the
window.
Th
e colonel wants these barracks cleaned
now.
The senator needs
you in his office
immediately.
I hope you are going
to take your muddy shoes off
before you get inside.
Would you close the door,
please?
Could you turn the music down a
little?
Could I see you for a
moment?
Open the window,
please.
Clean these barracks
now.
Go to the senator's office immediately.
Take off you muddy
shoes before you get inside.
Come and have dinner
with us.
Look out! There is a
bus!
Don't /
Do not
Don't be nervous!
Do not feed the animals!
Never do that again!
Please sit down.
Stop talking,please.
Lend me your penknife please, will
you?
Help me with this maths problem, won't
you / would you / can't you / could you?
Don't be so noisy, will you?
Go to the party with us, why don't
you?
。例如:
'Do have a glass of
sherry.
'Do stop talking!
'Do be careful of my broken
leg.
'You take that seat, and I'll take
this one.
'You mind your own business and leave this to
me!
Don't'you forget it!
Don't'you behave like that!
'You will mind your own business!
This is school time.'You will wait
outside the gate.
。例如:
Stop talking, boys!
Be quiet, Tom.
Don't anybody behave like
that!
Jack, stand over
there.
Everyone keep quiet.
b)
Let
Let me try again.
Let me drive you home.
Let me think what to
do next.
Let me drive you home, shall I?
Let me have a look, can I?
Let's+
Let's stop now and finish it
late.
Let's spend a day in the
country.
Let's take a taxi,
shall we?
Let's go fishing this afternoon, shall
we?
Don't let me
bathe you too much.
Don't let me interrupt you.
Don't let's argue about
it.
Don't let's invite George to the party;
he is such a
bore!
Let me /
Let's 之后加 not。
例如:
Let me not bother you
too much.
Let's not say anything about
it till we have the
facts.
。例如:
'Do let me have a
look!
'Do let's stop
arguing!
Let
Let him /
them /
NP+不定式。
例如:
Let bygones be bygones.
Let the boys clear up this mess.
Let the guards be armed.
Don't let him disturb us.
Don't let anyone shirk his
responsibility.
Let him
/
them+
Let him come with us, mother; I'll take care of
him.= Please allow him to come with us;
..
Let her go with you, will
you?
