（形容词）表示面积或空间范围很大。
（adjective）indicating the range of area or space is broad.
（一）“宽阔”和“宽敞”都有宽和大的意思，但是语义侧重的角度有所不同。“宽阔”侧重于地面、水面等平面的宽、大、开阔；“宽敞”侧重于建筑物空间的宽、大、没有遮拦。例如：
Both mean being wide and big, but the angles being stressed on are different. “宽阔” emphasizes the broadness, largeness and wideness of a plane, such as a ground and a river. “宽敞” emphasizes the commodiousness, greatness or emptiness of a building. For example:
宽阔的湖面上飘荡着几只小船。
宽阔的天安门广场中央矗立着人民英雄纪念碑。
