curve变化的形式。 Based on what we have already learnt, the different between a movement along and a shift of the demand curve should now be obvious. Basically speaking, a movement along the demand curve is caused by a change in price and no other factors. If price increases, quantity demanded will decrease, demand contracts. On the other hand, if price decreases, quantity demanded will increase, demand extends. A shift in demand occurs when any factors other than price changes. A shift in demand will increase or decrease the quantity demanded at each and every price. Remember, a change in the price of the product itself will never cause a shift in its demand curve. Instead it will cause an extension or contraction of demand. |

我们已经学习了影响需求的很多因素。这些因素发生改变，都会影响到需求。具体到需求曲线上，我们需要注意区别的是：如果是产品的价格发生了改变，则会造成一个点移动到另一个点。如果是价格以外的因素（收入、消费者偏好、气候等）发生了改变，则会造成整个需求曲线的平移。
在不同情况下使用不同的表达方式：
1.因为价格上升导致需求量下降：
decrease in quantity demanded,
contract/contraction
2.因为价格下降导致需求量上升：
increase in quantity demanded,
extended/extension
3.其他因素导致的需求上升（整条线右移）
increase in demand
outward/rightward shift of the demand curve
increase in the quantity demanded at each and every prices
4.其他因素导致的需求下降（整条线左移）
decrease in demand
inward/leftward shift of the demand curve
decrease in the quantity demanded at each and every prices
这里要注意demand和quantity demanded这两种表达方式的使用。当价格变化导致需求量变化时，用quantity demanded，其他因素导致的需求变化，则直接用demand。
