Nucleoside drug is the generic term of a class of drugs, including lamivudine, famciclovir, adefovir and entacavir. The drug they asked should belong to such class of drugs.
Lamivudine is the earliest nucleoside drug in clinical application and has gradually been washed out due to producing drug resistance. On the basis of lamivudine and modifYing the chemical constitution, some new drugs have been produced, such as famciclovir, adefovir and entacavir. Yet owing to their lacunas and hence they can not overcome the shortcoming of virus variation, drug fast and end-of-dose failure, in addition, the course of treatment become longer and longer and the majority of patients have to take them in their lifetimes.
