一、by far的语法特点
用于强调，意为“……得多”“最最……”“显然”等，可修饰形容词或副词的比较级和
最高级，通常置于其后，但是若
比较级或
最高级前有
冠词，则可置于其前或其后。如：
It’s quicker by far to go by trai
n. 乘火车要快得多。
She ran fastest by far. 她跑得最最快(显然她跑得最快)。
He’s by far the cleverer student. 他是个聪明得多的孩子。
He is by far the best teacher. =He is the best teacher byfar.
他是最最好的老师(或他显然是最好的老师)。
比较：far 修饰
比较级或
最高级，通常要前置。
二、so far的语法特点
1. 表示“到目前为止”“至今”等(=until now)，通常与现在完成时连用。如：
We haven’t had any trouble so far. 到上前为止，我们还没有遇到任何麻烦。
So far the work has been
easy but things may change. 到目前为此，这工作还很容易，但情况可能有变化。
【注】有时可用一般现在时(尤其是某些状态动词)。如：
So far, it is on
ly talk. 至今还只是空谈。
This is likely to be the biggest conference so far.
这很可能是迄今为止规模最大的一次会议了。
有时用于
省略句。如(from

2. 表示“到这种程度或范围”，根据情况选用适当时态。如：
