句型take...for…的几个常见用法

(1) take...for granted是一个很常见的句型，意思为“视为当然”，“想当然”，“想必是”，“信以为真”，“认为没有问题”，心为及物动词，其后可跟名词、代词、从句等作宾语，for granted这个介词短语一般被视为宾语的补足语。如：
①She took my help for granted．
②Don't take it/everything/things for granted．
③He observed things carefully and never took anything for granted．
▲当该句型中take后的宾语是一个句子时，一船都应当用形式宾语it来代替，而把真正的宾语从句放在补语for granted之后。如：
①Tom took it for granted that his parents would stay with him．
②He spoke English so well that I took it for granted that he was an Englishman.
▲当What引导的句子用于take...for granted句型时，不能用形式宾语it，不过为了保持句子的平衡，可以把what从句放在for granted之后。如：
Tom took for granted what his parents for him．
分析：上述含what从句的句子为何不能用形式宾语it呢?因为这里的what为关系代词型what，若将其分解一下，便成了the thing that...，实际上该句相当于名词，后跟一个定语从句，所以不能用it。
