英语中的-ary源自法语的-aire，最终源自拉丁语的-ari+表“性别”
的后缀-us, -a, -um。

英语中，也有一些单词保持了法语中的后缀，如millionaire（百万富翁，新概念一用到）。

这一部分，我们重点学习tolerance。
如果您已经了解-ance,
-ence是法语名词后缀，就肯定会明白，tolerance实际上是一个法语单词。记忆的重点是toler-。
