阿格巴大厦，位于巴塞罗那对角线大道，是由法国著名建筑师让·努维尔设计的地标性建筑物，又因形似伦敦的30
St. Mary Axe而被称为“小黄瓜”。

It is also somewhat similar in
shape to Sir Norman Foster's 30 St. Mary Axe in London, often
called 'the Gherkin'
设计灵感来源于巴塞罗那附近的蒙特塞拉特山间歇泉上升到空气中的形状。大厦拔地而起，宛如一颗参天大树，高达
140m ，地面 135
层，地下4层，外墙整体包裹将近
60,000
个透明和半透明玻璃百叶窗。近看熠熠发光，如同爬行动物的外壳；远看如晶莹的流体，流光溢彩变幻无穷。该建筑由两个混凝土制成的卵形管状结构通过水平钢粱的联系成为一个整体支撑着各层楼板；该建筑的筒中筒结构，外筒为一层承重的现浇混凝土墙，混凝土墙面的块块正方形洞口仿佛布满了“俄罗斯方块“的图案。在混凝土的第一外层覆盖着土、蓝、绿、灰色调的铝片，而第二外层则是由59619片透明及半透明的玻璃所包围，最大限度地增强了内部空间的透明性，把城市景观导入建筑内部的视野之中，同时提供了隔热保护。随着太阳升起落下，建筑会呈现不同的色调，富有流动感。
Jean Nouvel was inspired by Montserrat, a mountain near
Barcelona, by the shape of a geyser rising into the air and
described it as having a phallic character. Its design combines a
number of different architectural concepts, resulting in a striking
structure built with reinforced concrete, covered with a facade of
glass, and over 4,500 window openings cut out of the structural
concrete. A defining feature of the building is its nocturnal
illumination. It has 4,500 LED luminous devices that allow
generation of luminous images in the façade. The construction, as
explained by Nouvel himself was strongly influenced by one of the
most representative symbols of Catalan culture.
