I’m
sorry to learn you have trouble adapting to the new
surroundings, which may affect your study and life. So I
’m writing to show my great concern and offer my tips.
Firstly, you’d better participate in some
after-class activities with your new classmates, by which you can
make friends with them. Secondly, in your spare time you can
contact your family by Wechat video. And then you’ll be in good
mood and can focus on your learning.
I wish my suggestions can be helpful and you can

When:3 am on a rainy morning
Where:Torresdale Avenue near Cottman
Who :A bus driver and Annabelle, a 4-year-old little
girl.
What: she walked 5 blocks in the rain and reached the bus
stop.
Why: All she want is a slushie
How: With the help of the local police , she was sent back to
her parents
Within an hour, police officers came to fetch
Annabelle.Facing the 4-year-old little girl wearing a
purple raincoat, sleeping clothes and a pair of boots, the
policemen felt both funny and puzzled. How did they find her
parents? Surprisingly, Annabelle ever spoke out her
family telephone number. At the news that their child was
handed in by kind people to the police, parents felt enormously
fortunate. If it had been not for the warm-hearted people, their
daughter might not have returned home safe and sound. (76)
Annabelle’s parents were happy to see her
again. They comforted their angel as they looked at
her up and down making sure she was okay. However, the little girl
still remembered her mission and asked her mother to get her a
slushie. When the driver Harlan was off the work, the little girl
as well as her parents was waiting at the office carrying a slushie
in her hand. They thanked the driver, full of gratitude.
But for the driver’s and passengers’ help, the family would have
been in great trouble.(84)
